I’m staying at Thousand Trails Medina Lake northwest of San Antonio. The park is a lovely collection of Central Texas flora and fauna, including live oak, cedar, prickly pear, deer, and Texas jackrabbits with enormous ears. Unfortunately, this end of the “lake” dried up a couple of years ago due to drought, and is now growing a young forest on its bed. They might have to rename it “Medina Valley.”
