Update: Ok, I saw the Mystery Lights. I definitely think they are related to traffic along Highway 67, but the atmosphere reflects and refracts the light in weird ways over the horizon to create some very odd effects. In my sunset pictures, you can see a couple of cell towers. Those have blinking red lights on top that are very visible at night. Most of the time they just look ordinary, but I clearly saw one seem to “clone” itself and create a blinking twin above and to the left of it that persisted for 20-30 seconds, then disappeared. No wonder this place has been weirding people out for 150 years.
