What TT Colorado River lacks in lakefront, it makes up for in wooded walking trails, wildlife, and creeks and rivers.
Since the weather gurus say this is the nicest weather we’re likely to have for a while, I’ve spent part of yesterday and today exploring the trail system. So far I’ve seen innumerable deer, a rabbit, squirrels, cardinals, robins, a flock of vultures sunbathing, and a flock of pure white pelicans floating on the river (!!!). I’m looking forward to watching spring progress here… maybe with some new baby fawns.
Update: WOW. I went for another walk at sunset and saw more deer, tons of rabbits, and (I’m pretty sure!) an otter! I *love* otters but the only one I’ve seen in the wild before was a sea otter in Alaska.
